Located in Historic downtown Haverhill, an international "shoe capital" in the early 1900s . The town of Haverhill produced one-tenth of America's shoes in 1913 establishing itself as an industrial powerhouse. In the late fifties Alman's Café was born becoming a meeting place for friends and business associates alike. " The Lasting Room" got its name from its roots back when Haverhill was a booming shoe city. Back in those days the down town factories would designate a room where the "last", a foot shaped block, would be used for manufacturing or repairing shoes. In honor of this the Lasting Room was born. It's a great place to come unwind with friendly service and good times!
